Meet Mrs. Smith
Welcome to first grade! My name is Mrs. Allison Smith. I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year. I am looking forward to a super year with your child! I realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best this year to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience. I believe that what happens in this class will affect your child’s future. Your child’s time here will be well spent. We have a busy and exciting year ahead of us!
Here's a little more about me. I graduated from Caldwell County High School in Princeton. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Murray State University as well as my Master's in Reading and Writing. I also taught kindergarten for 2 years at the Caldwell County Primary School. I taught first grade for seven years. Then, I moved to third grade for two years. And now it's back to first grade!! When I got married I moved to Hickory, which is where my husband is from. My precious baby boy was born on January 23, 2011! His name is Lucas Walker Smith. My beautiful baby girl was born August 13, 2012! Her name is Reese Nicole Smith.
