At Symsonia Elemetnary School we follow a School-wide Positive behavior support (SWPBS) approach.  This is comprised of intervention practices and organizational systems for establishing the social culture, learning and teaching environment, and individual behavior supports needed to achieve academic and social success for all students

Our universal expectation is for all students to follow  RIDER Expectations.
R- Respect my school self and others

D – Directions given, directions followed
E – Eager to learn
R – Responsible behavior
S – Success is up to me

Our primary classroom behavior system is followed by all teachers in Grades K-3 and specials teachers.

Students will start each day in the green  “Rootin’ Tootin Great Day” section and may move up and down the chart based on their daily behavior. 

Daily behavior will be communicated to parents. 




 

What if my student is on red three times in one week?
Student will visit with the school counselor to talk about appropriate behavior .  Counselor will make parent contact.
What if my student is on red six times in a two week period?
Student will visit with the school counselor.  Counselor will make parent contact.
What if my student is on red nine times during a three week period?
               Student will go to the Principal’s office.  Principal will make parent contact and set up discipline consequence.
