Accelerated Reader News
We will be reading books together and taking tests at
school. This is a fun enrichment
activity to encourage and reward reading.
There is really nothing for parents to worry about at home.
Students will be
allowed to take AR tests in the classroom (when there is time), during computer
time each week, and during library time each week. Some of the stories in our reading book have AR tests. We will also read leveled readers during reading group time and some of those leveled readers have AR tests. Students also have bins of books that they are allowed to read when they have time that also have AR tests. Library books have AR tests as well.
All students must score 80% correct or above on each test they take to receive points for that book. They have to reach 100% of their goal for that point in the year when rewards are offered.
There will be different rewards throughout the year for those students that meet their Accelerated Reader goal.
Students cannot take tests at home or after school hours.
They may only take tests at school during the day. You can log in to see how many points your
